A Bee Story

Once there was a bee that crawled right into a spider's web, the spider was so quick to act and started weaving the bee's legs together with its web:
That web stuff is pretty strong!  That spider just kept weaving it's web all around the bee.  I actually felt sorry for the bee:
The bee tried to sting the spider, but the spider was too smart and too swift and stayed away from that bee's stinger:
THEN, the bee freed itself - WOW, I was shocked!
And here is what the spider got, a dirty look from the bee and the spider was outta there:

THE END!

hum this

The hummingbirds are everywhere now and I have a little more time on my hands to take a few photos:
Depending on how the light hits his head is how much red shows:
He chased off quite a few hummingbirds protecting 'his' nectar in a feeder close by:
He was sitting in our fruit tree - so I had a nice frame for these photos.
Same hummingbird in all photos.

Father's Day Candy Bow Ties

Saw this idea here, instead of regular size M&M's I used King-Size M&M's and hot glued a Hershey's candy nugget in the middle to hide the pipe cleaner - worked great!  We passed these out to the dad's in our ward, I'd say over 90% of the men wore them during our meetings on Sunday!  We used plain and peanut but everyone wanted peanut!  It was a hit and I hear might be a tradition for Father's Day now ;)
Here's a photo of Mark wearing it (proudly):
Next year we'll have to get a group photo - they turned out darling and was awesome to see most of the men wearing them!  Our RS president presented them right after Sacrament meeting and said 'our dad's really 'tie' sweetness into our families'.

Graduation Quilt

Grandma made Brady a quilt for graduation - he LOVES it and it's very warm!
Cayden thought Grandma was making Brady's graduation GOWN and didn't mention how weird that would be but was much relieved after finding out it was an actual quilt.  LoL
Here is Grandma and Brady wrapped up in the quilt:
A LOT of hours went into making this and it was worth it Grandma - Brady adores it!

graduation cap cupcake

Brady's graduation cupcakes - I delivered 2 dozen on his last day of school:
1 miniature Reece's peanut butter cup glued with melted chocolate to 1 Ghirardelli chocolate square (I used milk chocolate with caramel) - use a cut skewer (about a third of one - sharp end inserted into the Reece's and cut end inserted into the cupcake), not a toothpick ;)
I've seen them with tassels, but thought it was too much work for a last-minute idea - hehe

Betty's birthday cupcakes:

TSA Nationals

Keaton went to state in Bellevue for Technology Student Association and earned 2nd place in Video Game Design and 2nd in On Demand Video (using free software even - other competing schools buy nicer, better software for the kids to use) - he'll off to Nationals June 20th in Texas!
Keaton has a skill for drawing with Blender software - Good Luck in Dallas!  =)
