DIY Canvas Photos

I bought 12x12 canvas frames and had the same size photos printed at Costco.  This is a photo I took in Maui - print for sale at www.jackshandsjillsheart.com - and just made it 2 pictures.  Mod Podge the photos on the canvas and paint black acrylic paint on sides and slightly over edges and in corners to give it a distressed look - it's more for just hiding the photo edges . . . . well and giving it a finished look.
I have some flowers I'm going to do the same way too.

visiting teaching nov

I asked the sisters I visit teach which conference talks were their favs and I put some quotes with (my Maui) pictures.  I had some 4'' blocks so I made 6 pictures for each one.  I printed the images on iron-on paper from my printer and ironed that onto muslin, cut them out and mod podged them onto each side:

Maui Photos

took some very cool pics of these flowers in Maui and am going to have one canvased to hang on my wall:
Hana
sea turtle
the Garden of Eden - LOVED IT!
Haleakala Crater where we watched the sunrise (Cheri had elevation sickness at 10,000 feet).  Views were breathtaking and so were the birds ;)  Noticed a lot of things grow red before they turn green here - love that!  And the protected Silversword plant:
 A baby mongoose
so many more photos . . . they would make a great slideshow!
