They did a progressive dinner - started out with an appetizer and pictures at Dallin's house, came to our house for dinner and then to Nick's for dessert. Some of the group went to the dance and some of the group went to a fun center. Then they met back up for a movie at Dallin's and called it a night around 2 am. Everyone said they had a blast!

Me: It's a weed Keaton!

Keaton: I know, but who cares.

Me: That does NOT look awesome, do you realize how many more seeds each one of those are going to produce?

Keaton: I know, that's so cool - all that yellow - it's so happy!

Me: We are not having dandelions in our yard.

Keaton: Well, admit it, dandelions are your favorite weed then.

-pause-

Me: Actually, there is this cute little weed that has the tiniest little purple flower . . .

Keaton: (cutting me off) whatever.

Stopped in traffic . . .

Keaton: (looking out the window) Mom, there's a Pringles can down there (on the side of the road)

Me: Maybe you should pick it up (Keaton is a member of RAK at Cedarcrest - Random Acts of Kindness - and they pick up litter year round)

Keaton: I'm pretty sure it's empty Mom!

Me: Uhhhh, (laughing) when I have EVER asked you to pick up something to see if there's something left in it so we can eat the rest?

Keaton: (basically ignoring what I just said and still looking out the window) Oh, yeah, I'm positive there's nothing in there. No one would waste that flavor.

Who's child is this? No, Keaton did not say these phrases when he was 5 . . . it was only last week! LoL

Brady's Tolo

I get a phone call 'Hi Brady's mom, what is Brady's favorite kind of cake'. She wouldn't tell me who she was, but this was dropped off at our door later that evening:

Brady just lifted up the cake and saw a picture of Emma:

And Brady made a little scavenger hunt for Emma to do on Sunday for his reply:

The first clue was on the YW bulletin board - Acts 5:15 which told her to look by the couch

The clue under the couch was Genesis 16:7 which told her to go to the drinking fountain

The clue by the fountain told her to look up D&C 121:40 which said to look by the phone

The clue by the phone was Malachi 4:1 which told her to go to the kitchen (oven)

The clue we put in the oven said Alma 46:12 which told her to go to the flag pole

And that said to look up the first 8 words of Ezekiel 20:41

They met up at 1 house as one big group:

And went to the mall to do a photo scavenger hunt:
They ate at Red Robin and then went to the dance, but mostly just for photos because the kids all dance inappropriately at the High School and these kids didn't care to be surrounded by that! Awwww =) The theme was neon-glo:They played games and watched a movie and got home around 2 am.

Keaton as a Red Wolf

Here is Keaton as the mascot at the High School:

He says the head part is very uncomfortable. Last time he wore it the bridge of his nose hurt for 2 weeks. So we didn't get to see him in action, he was told he was going to be the mascot the 2nd half of the basketball game (and we didn't get there until right before halftime =( But I guess the film people were there early so he ended up doing it for the 1st half.

Sports Physicals

The boys' physicals needed to be updated in the middle of the season, so Saturday morning they had to hurry and get one done at Urgent Care because that's all that's open on Saturdays.  Probably best to do it at a regular physician because 1) if the same doctor is not at the facility you took them to in the first place, they can't just sign off for the 2nd year, they actually have to have another physical. 2) the office would probably be educated enough to know that when you write 5' 12'' for how tall they are, it can then be converted to 6' ;)  Now, if the coach's would have given us a head's up for this sort of thing before last minute - that would have been awesome!

Brady & Keaton usually sub out for each other, but this game they sat out together and played together - aaawwwww, how tender ;)

They played Bellevue Interlake High School and won 40-39 thanks to Nick who stole the ball and made his layup in the last 13 seconds of the game! WTG
